IX Dynamic Attunement 194

Release

When the major groove is mature the pockets of the skill should be quite deep. Deep pockets contain a lot of valuable and vital parts of the skill, but also a lot of stuff that should be gotten rid off, and many activities just waiting to be concluded.

There are many ways to react to the need to release, to make endings. The following three are the types of reactions I have experienced in my processes:

1. I drift into a hypercompensation, where I overcompensate by trying harder and harder banging my head against the wall and yet my skill doesn’t improve. Actually quite the contrary happens, my performance gets worse. Over the years I have learned that it is possible to meet this situation with positive expectation and relaxation, enjoying the opportunity to enter a new level of skill and get a chance to feel the wonderful feeling of growth again.

2. I feel a need to return to the beginning of the major groove. Do those familiar things that I always do and feel the easiness and safety of being in control. But I don’t do that because my mind is constantly chasing after new visions and opportunities. However I know many people doing this and I’m afraid they are not very happy with their skills or themselves, either.
